I have been looking forward to this wedding for a long time - and I'm not gonna lie - it's because of the reception venue. I loved working with the beautiful couple, yes, but pairing them up with a rehabbed historic mansion?? Dream come true.
Mariah & Paul are a fantastically fun couple, and their blue and gold wedding was absolutely stunning. Mariah and all seven bridesmaids got ready at her condo in Kenosha, with hair and make up artists on hand making sure all these lovely ladies looked their best. The girls had their dresses from Bliss Bridal and the bride wore jewelry given to her from her grandmother.
The ceremony took place at St. Marks with transportation to Kenosha's lake front for wedding party photos provided by Cruise A Palooza. Wisconsin threw us for a loop, and blessed us with an incredible fall Saturday. Sunny skies, a little wind, and nice warm(ish) weather.
We arrived at The Covenant at Murray Mansion early so that we could utilize the gorgeous rooms in the mansion for some more bridal party photos. The staff with Culinary Infusion did an incredible job decorating the hall, with flowers from Sunnyside Florist.
Dinner was delicious! DELICIOUS. I cannot rave about the food that Culinary Infusion provides enough. I'm always blown away with how incredible they make buffet food. It's the absolute BEST in the area.
And can we talk about the reception hall (The Covenant) just a little bit more? The before and after project is pretty substantial, and this family has done an amazing job at creating a venue that can accommodate up to 350 guests. They painted the entire interior white (THANK YOU!!) and maintained the charm of the church with original light fixtures, stained glass windows & a pipe organ bar. If you don't have a guest list that big - the Mansion portion has a space to accommodate up to 75 guests. Either way - the location is stunning. High ceilings, intricate molding, chandeliers, and all in a historic building.
After the couple kicked off the dancing, desert was served. Mini pies from Elsie Mae's in Kenosha. Yum!!
